Eyelid Aesthetics (Blepharoplasty)
People who experience these complaints have a tired, old, sad, unhealthy facial expression. Therefore, it may be exposed to the questions of the people around them and their self-confidence and social life may be affected. Eyelid surgeries ensure that the person is energetic and confident.
How to do eyelid surgery?
Eyelid surgeries, also known as blepharoplasty, can be performed separately in the upper and lower eyelid surgeries, as well as in combination with eyebrow lifting, forehead lifting and mid-face rejuvenation.However,
it is possible to apply botox and filler applications around the eyelid in addition to these surgeries. Eyelid operations can be performed with general anesthesia or with local anesthesia.
Aesthetic eyelid surgery is divided into two as upper and lower eyelid surgery:
1. Aesthetic upper eyelid surgeries
In the aesthetic upper eyelid surgery, it is possible to remove fat pouches along with the excess skin in the upper eyelid.
2. Aesthetic lower eyelid surgeries
In the aesthetic lower eyelid surgery, excess skin and fat bags are removed. However, in the case of additional pitting along with bagging, the oil bags are removed to some extent. The rest is used to fill these pits. In this way, pitting along with bagging is also corrected.
Operative time
When blepharoplasty is performed without any other aesthetic intervention, the operation for the lower and upper eyelids takes 2-3 hours.
Postoperative period
After the surgery on the same day after the pain relief pain is not expected much pain outside. The patient is discharged after staying the same day or overnight.
Swelling and bruises usually occur within 1-2 weeks of eyelids and around the eyes . 5-7 days after sutures are taken. The patient usually returns to work and daily life after a few days. In the upper eyelid there are incisions in the upper lid fold and in the lower eyelid at the bottom of the eyelashes . However, it does not cause a long-term disturbance.
